These activities are suggested for each key stage as a means of securing the appropriate skills and experiences for the Skills category of the employability framework.
EYFS
- Give time for children to pursue their learning without interruption, to complete activities to their satisfaction, and to return to activities.
- Provide experiences and activities that are challenging but achievable.
- Involve children in drawing or taking photographs of favourite activities or places, to help them describe their individual preferences and opinions
- Children are confident to try new activities, and say why they like some activities more than others.
Key Stage 1
- Make and sell items to raise money.
- Keep simple financial record e.g counting money
Key Stage 2
- Plan a budget to purchase stationary resources for a class
- Plan a budget to purchase resources for mini enterprise
Key Stage 3
- Young people develop a better understanding of the skills, knowledge and qualifications required.
